For missing today's wind and for schlogging yesterday, you get sunset vistas and fast roads.

So how windy was yesterday? Not as windy as it looked. Definitely doable on the big stuff, but a 6.3 and 137 ptrs was not big enough for me. 8.0 would have done the trick.

But I sold my 8.0, boom and mast, for a leg up on a SUP, so that's that for big sail sailing for now ...

Although there may be a generous deus ex machina: Drysuit2 says he has an old Infinity he hasn't used in years, if we do some digging in the basement ... that might just do the trick!  Bring on the races with Brook?

Smooth, downhill, no traffic and leaves left over
from last fall, and the fall before that,
and the fall before...

16-18-20-22? No way, not even close. I was there -- it was a schlogfest I tell you. Only 7.5 for  thebig guys or your name was "Bob," and even that wasn't enough half the time.

There were gusts, but they had no sustaining balls. Pumped onto a plane from time to time, here and there, but only for the sake of pumping for exercise, practice, dues paying and a little planing. 

Better than a trip to the gym, with the sun painting paths of glistening light on the reach back to the beach, and kaleidoscopes of color and jewels in the sail window X-ply of stained glass. In the groove with the occasional knee-to-thigh swells, surfing them from time to time; tiptoe on the back foot to let the back of the board lift and the front slip down the swell.
