You know it was a good day when ...

Your bikes are still on the back of the van and it's well past dark out.

We hadn't been to Stillwell in a while. M. and Gordo came along. Gordo was not going to ride, but borrowed Marg's bike.

Note they were clicking a lot so her derailleur cables probably need some tweaking.

Never seen the trial so dry and sandy. the weeds looked ragged as they were dust-coated up to about 2-feet from the dust kicked up by trail riders.

This is one of those rare trails that can benefit from some rain. It drains well and a little rain the gravel/sand spots makes for easier climbs.

I'm gonna have to be the change I guess and get out there with a weed-whacker -- Gordo was grossed out by the weeds that overgrew the trail in places. He gets completely skeevy over those kinds of things these days and won't want to go back until it's been cleared.

Good falafel from Wild Fig on the way home. Gordo of course opted for Taco Bell instead. now that would sleeve me, but different strokes for different-aged folks.
