< This one?
Or the one below?
Stopping for a photo op. at Hoffstot La. on a sunny day's ride is the thing to do.
But wait! Where's the water. The whole point of taking this route is to take in a few glances of the Long Island Sound spreading its waters all the way to Rye NY, or as far as you can see.
This was a water eating ride if ever there was one.
We were well into our reserves by this point, and the lack of hydration was threatening to cut the ride short.
But the water was calling too, so instead of going the long way, we cut back via a shorter route to see if we couldn't get a paddle in.
HUDSON SPILL
All was not well with the water however. Low tide is always fragrant, of course, in a very off color way, but today was off-the-charts throw-up-your-lunch bad.We rode past the bay harbor as fast as possible in the stiff and stinky breeeze.
Why the stench? Gordo was adamant he wanted to paddle. But somethign was not right. Yes, that's it — some of the Westchester sewage spill in the Hudson must have made it's way into MBay with the changing of the tides and the force of the wind.
Today we'll settle for "Two Wheels Good" ... and hot, or not, it was definitely a fine ride.
