Low tide on the bay, 40F, brisk wind blowing in from the south; seabirds taunting Z-dog from the rock pile in the middle of the boat channel. Pilings, remains of wrecks, mussel beds, clams buried in the the gloppy sand, and a general nautical smell. Z eagerly ventured in for her second ever dip in the bay; water temperature not a concern.
Back home, taking a nap on the nearest, softest surface after the chilly walk to the bay. "Lush puppy" 8 month old Z-Dog suddenly got a lot larger … and commandeered somebody's bed.
