Ms Sassypants and Chicken Pie Go for a Stroll

Mrs. Phil couldn't find the entrance to the trail. So Ms. sassypants and I went off in search of this fabled new land.

It was a calm January evening, and the light was tinged with vaporous azure from the approaching snow storm.

Higher tide -- back in January
We returned with tales of magical walking vistas. But it took the rest of the crew a while to glom on.

Now the new Harbor trail is a hit! It might be a wee bit short, but worth the quick trip from home.
Whether human or canine it's a walkers' and trail runners' delight.

An old dock/pier in the lower harbor, at low tide.
Chicken Pie and Chicken Pot Pie.

Low tide day ... still interesting for Ms. Sassypants,
who is about to have a long drink of fresh water.
Ears a flappin' with the run.
It would be tempting to go off-leash but there are plenty of rabbits in the area, and Chicken Pot Pie would chase in a heartbeat. You can't see the highway, but it's too close for comfort. All it would take would be for a rabbit to run in that direction and a dog giving chase could be in serious jeopardy, so not an option here.

There used to be something here.
Nature has reclaimed.

Back on a snowy January day.
