Back to the Water 56 degrees F, and Windy Wittering

O.K. sorta windy.

Yep, the water was cold. I did a full swim the next day, and Gordo said it was even colder than the day before. FElt about the same to me .... invigorating. 56F is OK as long as you are swimming around a lot. but with the fresh breeze, well Gordo had full on shivers afterward. But he has no blubber, which I have in spades to insulate me.

Renta schlog.  Light wind, and tide incoming, make for limbo-fu.
Inside the sandbar, at low-tide is a near-lagoon, free of waves for easy learning.

It would also provide a good passage out to the waves, but the wind was just not quite there even for 6.5s and big RRD freeride boards.

A local concession rented excellent quality gear for about 35 quid an hour -- Ouch! Windsurfing is not a sport of an hour or even two.

Think three hours for a short sesh, unless your name is Chasbo Bolling.
Yes, it is cold, 56F water 70 F air, but we
wanted to get a swim in,
Kiter's light wind paradise

Hot cuppa tea at The Landing to warm up afterward.
My friend John does not have a whippet in
his lap; it's artwork. Oddly, a tourist might imagine everything
and everyone is native,  but the owner, who we chatted with,
was from up near Albany.

The next day the fish and chip shop lady had recently
gotten back from New York. It's a small world.
